The sounds of Spring poetry

The sounds of spring are in the fields,
New born lambs and daffodils.
The lush green grass, the sun so bright.
The children playing happily in delight.

Spring is all around us to be enjoyed,
By all adults, girls and boys.
The warmth of the season brings its pleasure,
With time to walk and time for leisure.

As winter passes and spring it beckons,
The chilling cold it lessens and lessens.
Bringing with it seasonal warmth,
Seasonal fun and seasonal talk.

The leaves now appear on the trees,
Swinging again gently in the breeze.
We can now again enjoy natures features,
To walk again and appreciate it’s creatures.

The wild animals and the busy bees,
The squirrels jumping in the trees.
The rabbits dancing through the hedges,
The badgers, the wildlife and the foxes.

As we approach the season of spring,
All around us, hearts start to sing.
As we leave the gloom of winter,
Spring brings new life and all is brighter.

As we now look at our plans,
Looking at the weather, holding hands.
Spring once again is for walking in the woods,
Kicking the leaves, exploring as we should.

Exploring and learning, discussing nature,
For a good walk there is nothing greater.
The blue bells, the blooming flowers, the daffodils,
The sun shining over the far off hills.

The beauty of the season is to be savoured,
The new life, a new start with all its flavours.
Different for everyone, as the seasons pass,
As the year goes by all too fast.
