Sunshine Blogger Award
The Sunshine blogger award is an award given by bloggers to other bloggers to award our peers. Each blogger nominated for the award is asked to nominate 11 other bloggers that they admire or are inspired by. It’s an honour to be recognised, and a wonderful opportunity to encourage others to keep doing what they love.
I was nominated by a lovely blogger, Erin whose blog is at unboundroots Erin now has an online shop on her blog where she sells her amazing watercolour prints.
Thank you Erin for sending me some sunshine.
Rules

Questions
1. What inspired you take the leap into the blogging world?
I am writing a book and wanted to develop my writing skills. Blogging has enabled me to do this and get feedback on my writing.
2. What is your favourite blog post?
I’m not sure if I have a favourite as such but here is one from poetry and one from fiction writing
Poetry – the love of a mother
Writing – Feeling a sense of loss
3. What is your most-viewed blog post?
This would be, 100 days blogging, what I have learnt
4. Do you have any other creative outlets besides blogging?
I write, and am now 29000 words into my current work in progress, I am developing my secret time warp novel.
5. If you could meet any blogger in person, who would it be and why?
Sorry not sure if I can name someone specific as I would love to meet all of you! I am looking forward to the Bloggers bash in June where I will meet some of you. Would love to meet Erin, Susie, Orla and Josy who I know would have to travel many miles to come to London.
6. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I would love to be an award winning author. Books with my name on the cover in Waterstones would be amazing.
7. Where is your favourite place to unwind?
In my recliner with a good book and a mug of tea
8. What makes you happy?
When my family are happy. When my children are happy and well.
9. How much time do you spend blogging per week?
I was blogging daily, but I’m committing more time to my novel at the moment. I’m maybe blogging once a week at present.
10. Do you have a person you share your blogs/writing with before the world see it?
No, not really. I mention them to my husband, but he does not really read them. The blogging community are usually the first to read them.
11. Can you share a future goal you have for your blog/writing?
I’m hoping that it continues to develop. I have purchased a new domain for an author site to link to this one as well. That will come in the future.

Wonderful answers, Marian! I know your book will be terrific, and I always look forward to reading about your progress. Also, I’d love to get to the Bash at some point, but this is not the year, unfortunately. I agree! There are so many blogger friends I’d like to meet. Hope you have the best time! xx

Thank you for nominating me for this award Marian – I too appreciate our friendship across the miles and remember the first day we followed one another and I had you up to the middle of the night (UK time) as we were “chatting” … the five-hour time difference makes it difficult to connect in “real time” sometimes. I’m curious how you’re going to fit gardening into your already hectic schedule … I was not following you during growing season time last year. Thank you again for the recognition. It is very much appreciated. – Linda

You are welcome, well deserved! I have wondered that too. Currently washing, looking after kids, attempting to write a 6000 short story in an attempt to get paid to publish.. I should be so lucky.. my garden needs mowing and weeding… and the sun is out and here I am writing..

I have days like that too Marian. Today for example. Right now it is pouring raining here and strong winds. Now, the smarter thing for me would be to do some housework, and instead, here I am … blogging grabs you and won’t let go sometimes … it draws you like a magnet, so you forsake other things. No willpower I guess!
Just muddling through life
It’s hard sometimes to have the willpower to stop.. I’ve managed 1800 words on new short story,. I think it will be finished way before 6000 words…

It is indeed and I find myself scrambling about as I’m late getting to bed or getting up in the morning as I’ve logged too many hours here on WordPress. Today it was rainy and windy and no walk, so I tried out the new Gutenberg Editor. I’ve been dreading this new upgrade by WordPress the end of the month so I gave it a whirl. It took me forever to get a short post done Marian … I was sorry I tried it but I didn’t want to be surprised at the end of the month and not know how to use it.
Just muddling through life
Oh dear yes it is supposed to be confusing.. don’t like it when things change…
lindasschaub
I don’t either Marian – I like things to stay the same. I took a stab at it yesterday but only had one photo to make it easier … sometimes on a weekend, I may have 20 photos or more.

Congrats on the award, Marian – I love to find out more about fellow bloggers (particularly from groups like Esme’s) through these type of posts. I am delighted to read that you are coming to the bash this year and look forward to catching up in person!! Hubby and I went last year, which fell on the royal wedding day, and had a fantastic time…..it was a bit like star spotting as I came face to face with bloggers who I aspire to! See you in June, Claire x #SeniorSalon
