Christmas fun
The kids are having fun and Christmas is nearly done.
The presents are unwrapped and dinner is had.
The toys are enjoyed and the kids are employed.
The train set is out and the engine is running around and about.
We all love our little families at Christmas. In response to Patricia’s Place blog.

Boxing day poetry
It is a day to remember, for it is the 26th December, otherwise known as Boxing day. A ‘Christmas box’ is a Christmas present in the UK.
There are different theories of why Boxing day is so called. One theory is that traditionally in Britain it is the servants day off. It is the day that they were given their ‘Christmas box’ by their master and went home to see their families. They would then give ‘Christmas boxes’ to them, hence the name of boxing day.

So how is our day going to be today?

Photo by rawpixel.com on Pexels.com Well, our kids are awake and playing with toys,
They really are making a lot of noise.
Grandma is due and dinner is cooking,
The chocolate is being eaten when no one is looking.Sneaky trips to the kitchen,
A box of biscuits has already been eaten.
These two days are a time for treats,
With love, joy and family and with plenty to eat.Christmas is a special time, a time for celebration,
With compassion and love and for some congratulation.
A time for family and friends to be together,
Despite the stress that families bring and bad weather. So on this day here we are,
The children’s trains are not going far.
Round and round and round their track,
Up the hill and round and back.

The thoughts, the rhyme and the reason.
Did your children eat their Christmas dinner?
Our children refused, fish fingers would have been a winner. Are other children as difficult as ours can be?
As they sing and dance around the Christmas tree.
With such adorable love and joy,
We do really love our girl and our boy.So a happy boxing day to one and all,
Around the corner, a new year calls.
With a goodbye to 2018,
The new year is still to be seen. For more poetry see, https://justmuddlingthroughlife.co.uk/2018/12/25/christmas-day-poetry/
