Writing, researching and life
This last week has been busy as I’m trying to write 10 000 words in March for Chapter Buzz. I reached my goal last night 16th March. I wonder if I could get to 20 000? So many writers participate in Nanowrimo (National Novel writing month) where they write 50 000 words, I know that right now I could not do this. Maybe if I did not work and my children were a lot older this would be achievable.
So, I am now writing The Secret Time Warp developing my short story. Writing science fiction is harder then I imagined and I know I have covered too much too soon. It needs more depth and I need to do some research. With time travel though a lot is theories. It is trying to not rewrite what has already been written. Mine has got to be new with new ideas.
Professor Hawking has said that we cannot travel back in time as it is against the laws of physics, we can only go forward. My time tunnels go both ways. I recently read about a group of scientists in Moscow who used a Quantum computer to reverse time. I have a lot to read and hopefully by the time I have finished I will have a greater understanding of time travel.
My 5 year old was star of the week on Friday. She has been working hard and wrote a lovely story about going for a job as a knight. Her teacher asked her if she got the job and she said yes. My son learnt to swim on Thursday. He tells me that he can now do breast stroke. The first stroke I learnt was the crawl and I did not learn as fast as him. This was only his third lesson. So, both children are doing well. Though today we have a refusal to do homework and reading but we will get there.
We are currently living in a building site. The need for a new bathroom finally fulfilled with a nice new white bathroom suite. The mess of decorating but knowledge that soon our living space will be greatly improved. My dad has taken off the old tiles and is replacing them with new.

I am now trying to find some new navy curtains. I do not want black out, its my bathroom not bedroom. Too many are blackout and then others are only available on line with a delivery charge. Why do shops complicate it? I want to walk in, choose my curtains, buy them and walk out. Having seen them and touched them. Rather then buy online, hate them, then try and send them back or take them back to the shop.
We live walking distance from Dunelm but searching online I cannot see anything suitable. I am contemplating going for a walk and checking if there is anything else in store.
I am now wanting light blue bathroom paint. I’m not sure if Dulux is any better then the cheaper products but we have pink paint peeling off the walls right now! They recently closed Homebase near us. I am regretting not thinking ahead and buying it before the shop closed. So, I need to do a trek across town to B and Q for bathroom paint. It will be worth it once it is finished, but it is a lot of work for all involved now (especially my dad).
So today I plan to get back to writing my book and time travel research. We also have homework to complete. My daughter is writing about castles and knights. My son is learning about transport and travel. I have school uniforms to iron and life as usual. Yet another busy Sunday. So what are your plans for today?
