Earth and our lives poetry
I walk through the country and I think,
The trees and fields, the sight I drink.
The earth the sea and the trees,
All swaying happily in the breeze.
The beauty of this land,
Made by our creator’s hands.
We look at our beautiful children,
All cuddles and smiles. We do adore them.
The complex relationship between parent and child,
Their wants and their needs we do withhold.
Through bringing them up and showing them love,
Teaching them good from bad, trying not to be too tough.
Looking out across the sea,
Earth’s beauty here surrounds me.
The waves they crash, the sun it sparkles,
We look around, the sight we marvel.
The little children they love to paddle,
Creatures hiding in rock pools, we like to dabble.
Whether we believe in a God who is always there.
A god who loves us, one who cares.
Different people have their different opinions,
Faith and religion is quite a conversation.
I’m sure most of us love the earth’s wonderous features,
It’s historic structures and incredible creatures.
From wherever we draw our inspiration,
To write, to live, our celebration.
The path of life can be thought-provoking,
As we stop and think, and keep looking.
We all struggle through life’s complications,
As it throws us into our different situations.
Different countries on the earth,
Different climates, the love we’ve had.
Where it rains in one place, it’s sunny in others,
Where one place is warm another place suffers.
The tropical climate with all its heat,
For some, it’s a temperature we can’t repeat.
The beauty of the earth, our inspiration,
The support we offer our kids, the love we give to them.
Working together to provide for our families,
Making our contribution to the global economy.
Drawing together and supporting with love,
Humans and animals together on earth and above.
Watching the birds, they are awe-inspiring,
Singing in the wild, soaring and flying.
We all live here and we have beauty all around us,
Just hard to remember when life is down us.
Remind yourself of Earth’s beauty that is around you,
All living creatures suffer and it’s hard when it’s bad for you.

A lovely poem, Marian. It is always best to make the most of the good things in life, it helps sustain us through the darker patches.

I sighed contentedly when I read your poem. It’s so true. We get so involved in our little petty parts of life, stressed, unhappy. We need to stop and breathe in the sights/sounds of Nature all around us. That’s what’s really real.

Thankyou for your comment. Yes I often get hett up with my own stresses and forget the good around us. Yes we do all need to stop and breathe. Thanks!
