Life and its challenges poetry
Sitting now, sitting tired,
I’m feeling like my time has expired.
Life is busy and it can be cruel,
There is no time to play the fool.
Through all life’s pain, it’s twists and turns,
There is so much that we have to learn.
Whether the book of life is your education,
Or books and school your dedication.
The world we live in and all life’s rules,
Different for everyone, we all pay our dues.
From being busy, through all our stresses,
Through all our challenges and successes.
So many times we are faced with a new problem,
And some of us will like working through them.
Some of us will sink and hide in our rut,
Just responding with that simple word, but.
We must pick ourselves up and must carry on,
There are so many things we need to get done.
We do our best, we muddle on through,
There is just so much that we need to do.
From raising the kids, supporting our family,
We all get older, this is our duty.
One day the tables will be turned,
They will look after us, I have learned.
Would life be boring if it was easy?
Would we be happier, you and me?
Do we thrive when things go wrong,
Needlessly worrying over what’s being done.
Try and relax, try and love life,
It’s too short for all the trouble and strife.
Enjoy your life and your children,
The time is now, try and make time with them.
The time it races, it really flies,
Where did last year really go?
All those stresses that we endure,
Few of us can handle many more.
I wonder if this life is a test,
For something further, we need more rest.
We continue on, we plough on through,
All life’s lessons, for me and for you.
Through life, we have to try and keep on smiling,
Have to keep on going, have to keep on trying.
We are all busy with all life’s recommendations,
All of its duties and it’s considerations.
So we are, we try and do,
Do what’s best for me and you.
Look after yourself, sometimes go first,
Need to persevere and not make life worse.
