The power of writing

The power of writing,
Can be really exciting.
Imagination is flowing,
And confidence is growing.

Characters are forming,
And ideas are performing.
The plot it thickens,
And for some it may sicken.

Whether writing crime,
Or an adventurous time.
Whether writing fiction,
It is a matter of good diction.

The writing and the satire,
The power and the fire.
The world that is created,
Inside the authors mind, related.

Whether history or fantasy,
Whether for a child or activity.
A book that needs to be written,
Inside the authors mind it is important.

It travels round and round,
Only its author can hear its sound.
The work the writer has made for themselves,
Needs to be written, needs to be shared with the world.

So here we are another year,
It is time to stop procrastinating.
The research and the work,
The pain, the time, the hurt.

The editing, the typing, the life of a writer,
It really is not easy, time is getting tighter.
So whether you write for children,
Or for the family.

Whether you write fiction,
Or will change history.
There are many famous writers,
Im sure you will agree.

If we don’t write, we will not know,
How good we can really be.
