Happy Christmas poetry
The Christmas tree is shining,
The children they are smiling,
For Christmas time is on its way,
With stories of Santa and his sleigh,
The reindeer they are ready,
For their night times work, so busy,
A mission to fly from house to house,
For Santa to creep in as quiet as a mouse.
The adults they are shopping for presents and for food,
For choices that we make will change the family mood.
To have a turkey, a chicken or a duck,
What the family will prefer to eat is luck.
We always have a turkey, with stuffing and all the trimmings,
Sausages, potatoes, vegetables and then some Christmas pudding.
The joys of our Christmas started with the nativity,
With Mary and Joseph, three kings and a baby.

On this day we must remember whose birthday we are celebrating,
For baby Jesus is the centre of why we give presents to each other.
So on this happy Christmas, enjoy being together,
Put family stresses to one side and comfort one another.
Relax and enjoy their company, their cards and their presents,
Your family and your friends, their love and their compassion.
Have a happy Christmas, enjoy it one and all,
Try and enjoy it and be merry, try and have a ball.
