Sunday poetry

Well the weekend is over, so what can I write,

The kids have now gone down for the night.

The week has been busy, it has run on and on,

And now the stress of the last week is done.

So to go over what did last week bring?

I repainted some walls, whilst listening to Alexa sing.

The kids dressed as scarecrows on Friday for school,

The week before mummy accidentally broke school rules.

For mummy got confused on 12th October, Friday,

And two scarecrows were sent in, thankfully their hair wasn’t full of hay.

The school laughed and mummy was rather embarrassed,

However it saved on the ironing as two uniforms less.

So the stresses of kids and the laughter they bring us,

Today my 5 year old dropped a sweet down the toilet.

She cried out as she weed and yes you have guessed it,

It was mummy who had to reach in and rescue it.

Now watching them sleep their cuteness is overwhelming,

Now time for mummy to rest up with her Prince Charming.

For the joys and the tears that our kids bring us,

The love of our family and the stresses are a must.
